The bonefish is one of the most sought after fish of the world.  Prime time is summer and fall but they can be found any time the water is warm.  They are prime fly rod targets.

Permit on fly is one of fishing's greatest accomplishments. They can be caught year round on live crabs. Permit tolerate winters cooler temperatures as well as the summer heat. They are also found on gulf wrecks.

Tarpon! Anglers flock to the Keys March-June to target these kings of the flats.  Look for them to provide quite a show once hooked.  Smaller fish are here year round.

Barracudas are like a musky on steroids. They run fast, strike hard and jump wildly.  A true gamefish. Primary winter targets.

Jacks are cousins of the permit and fight much the same.  They are willing to eat anything they see and fight like like there is no tomorrow. They are usually found during cooler months.

Sharks in shallow water is something the Keys are famous for.  Common species include the bull, blacktip, lemon and bonnet heads.  They are found year round but best in winter.

Mutton snapper are one of the tastiest fish found in Keys waters.  Live bait cut bait and jigs fished over structure will draw strikes from these hard running fish.

Mangrove snapper are found just about everywhere.  They are the panfish of the florida keys.  Try a nighttime trip during the summer.

Yellowtails are a Keys staple.  Found on the reefs and menus throughout the area.  Flag tails are a delicious trophy.

Common grouper species are Black, Gag and Red with a host of others.  These hard fighting fish will do everything they can to get back to the rocks.

Goliath Grouper, once called Jewfish, are the brutes of the gulf.  They reach a maximum size of around 800lbs Every wreck in the gulf will have a few resident goliaths.

Cero Mackerel are fast striking and fast swimming fish.  For maximum enjoyment throw a fly at them.

King Mackerel aka Kingfish or just Kings.  No matter what you call them not much else runs further or faster.

Cobia migrate through the Keys during the spring.  They can also be found on gulf wrecks through most of the summer.

The SeaHunter 24 bay boat is the swiss army knife of boats for the Florida Keys. With a light weight carbon/kevlar hull this boat goes shallow and offers a smooth dry ride.  The boat is rigged with Garmin and Simrad electronics, trolling motor, power pole, underwater lights and a reliable 300hp Suzuki outboard.

Variety is the name of the game with this versatile boat.  Inshore and nearshore fishing in the Florida Keys offers ample opportunities at both numbers and trophy fish plus a few filets for dinner.

This boat can comfortably accommodate up to 4 anglers and is a great option for families not wanting to venture too far from land. We typically fish 2-3 people at a time.

Inshore and nearshore fishing makes for an action packed day.  This boat offers a blend of both flats and offshore fishing.  Think of starting the day fishing tarpon and then making a short run to a shallow reef hotspot.  Choose between standard and specialty trips or customize your own perfect day on the water.   We can even take some time for sight seeing.

I offer a few specialty trips on this boat.  Tarpon feed more aggressively in low light, beat the heat with an evening tarpon trip.  These fish range from 10-200+lbs and love to jump.

Marquesas trips offer a great opportunity to venture off the beaten path.  There is time for game fish and a few edible species on this trips.

Marquesas Keys-

This coral atoll sits west of Key West.  This trip is a great option for the adventuresome angler.  The lush flats team with life offering sight fishing opportunities.  Numerous shallow wrecks dot the sands west of the marquesas.  These wrecks blend sight fishing with more action packed bottom fishing combined with stunning scenery. There is also some fantastic reef and patch reef fishing in this remote location.
